Stereo removal followed bystrange goings on

Had to take the stereo out to remove trapped discs and generally shake the unit about to make it spit out.

That's all done. I will replace it later. I have also been looking at those fancy display options:

After what just happened removing the stereo I might be better off just putting it back in as was. I did have to remove the Battery to put in a driver's side Xenon before the stereo thing (ouch - hands shredded like a rose bush attack). CD played up after that.

The energy display doesn't work now. Climate controls are all off. And the steering wheel Display button doesn't flip through the dash options. No reverse camera either

Car drives OK and does display MPG in the binnacle area.

Must be some sort of broken connection via the stereo sockets. No codes or any other problems.

Anyhow, just a point of interest that I hope doesn't have deeper issues.
