Hi, 2018 nx tailgate makes an horrendous noise when closing. Just been for service

asked then to check it out. Told needs new struts @ £2211.40 which I think is a bit excessive.

My question is should it not be done under warranty

As above should be covered.

My 2019 UX had the same issue regarding a noisy hatch strut. 

I mentioned it when I had the car serviced at Lexus Glasgow a month ago. After examining the car they agreed the faulty strut would be replaced under the Relax Warranty this was carried out yesterday.
