If anyone has a shot in the dark.

New tyres all the way around alignment done. Mechanic didn't find any suspension issue. But definitely shimmys easier than other cars in uneven roads and in general. Something off. What could it be that is not so obvious.

Could be the tyres.

What did you go for? I used to have Bridgestones all round and found them dreadful for tram-lining. When they were shot I went for Goodyear and they were/are so much better.

Hi  goodyears should not give problems ,I am a fan of these myself ; my next move would be a 2 nd opinion on wheel alignment and balance .I have had problems in the past with tyre places not capable of doing a proper job .Look on the Align my Car website to find a specialist close to you ,they usually have Hunter equipment and  also know how to use it !!                                              good luck

Dave

Originally when bought I had a set of Pirelli P7 and later a set of Bridgestone. Both were crabbing, and I did not like those knocks at all.

Changed in early 2022 to Nankang AW6 and not a squick from down there. It's a good set that comes in both 225 and 245, and the grip is superb. Too soon to say anything about longevity, as I am doing less than 7k/year. but the rubber looks almost new.

The garage said your suspension is solid can't find anything wrong with it. Alignment looks fine. Before they test drove it one mechanic said look at your bushes they are dry. Didn't know that was a thing. He sprayed the front two bushes (both sides) with some innoctech spray which looked like some lubricant. Then they test drove it and they couldn't find the issue. It was better after that I don't know what it was, jacking the car on the ramp or the spray or just coincidence.

Then the man said have a look at your angle sensor. Right now the cars not too bad not doing that same shaky thing when hitting the lightest crack on the road.

Well at least that saves me some time. Don't wanna spend a penny more on this car.
