First Lexus RX400h check hybrid system

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a normally faultless 2006 RX400h but when driving this morning it suddenly lost power and stopped. It was displaying"check hybrid system"

I switched it off and then on again and everything worked with no further warnings

I live in rural France and nearest main dealer is 3hrs away so is there anything that I can or need to do and can I continue to use it?

Thanks

I would ignore it and see what happens.

i regularly get warning lights for Brakes/ABS and one other which come on at random.  Sometimes while driving more often after starting up.  They always clear after switching off and restarting.   No fault codes ever found with my mini dongle of my garage ( not Lexus) more sophisticated system on their laptop.  Never failed an MoT on this account.  Everything works normally.  No one has managed to diagnose the reason  over about past 10 years.

Lot of rain recently? 400s like to leak. I had the same. Had to use plumber's mastic to seal up. You can get Techstream easily enough. If happens again then it's the beginning of a need to detect.

Could be any number of things.
