2016 number plate bulb

Do you have to remove all the trim off the boot lid to get at the number plate bulb on a 2016 model car? Guides I have found show a different connection behind the plastic cover inside the boot lid to the build holder.
Do you know if once in the bulb can be replaced or is it a sealed unit?

Just take the cover off twist and pull, fit a LED if you prefer
