Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had same problem as me or could help me . I've recently bought a lexus GS 300 SE 2007 with electrical problems. Car doesn't read the key fob but opens and closes from the fob , security light is on radio sat nav is off . I managed to pull out some cods but unfortunately don't have techstream atm so using topdon . 

B2621 communication interruption

B2785 communications multifunction between ECU's connected by Lin

B2287 Lin communication master 

B2289 key Collation waiting time over . 

 

Any help appreciated

Would be best to move back to GS section.

Can't even find B2621/B2287/B2289 in repair manual, B2785 just advises to check LIN line, if line is good, then it advises to replace all connected ECUs in sequence.

You need a n oscilloscope and the location of the connectors to find where and what the problem is.

Picoscope are really very good, Hantek is not bad.

B2621 - STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: B2621: Communication Interruption
B2621 - Communication Interruption

DESCRIPTION

The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU forms a network with the ECUs of other systems through the communication bus. Each ECU informs the other ECUs that it is connected to the network by outputting a specified signal (periodical signal) onto the communication bus on a regular schedule. The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU detects the connection of each ECU based on the signal.

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when LIN communication from the certification ECU stops for a certain amount of time.

 

 

B2287-2GR-FSE STARTING: SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START: B2287: LIN Communication Master Malfunction
B2287 - LIN Communication Master Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when: 1) any other DTC is set in the power source control ECU; or 2) the wire harness between the power source control ECU and the certification ECU is open or shorted.

 

 

 

B2289-2GR-FSE STARTING: SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START: B2289: Key Collation Waiting Time Over
B2289 - Key Collation Waiting Time Over

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when there is a LIN communication problem between the power source control ECU and certification ECU or when there is a problem in the engine immobilizer system.

Is there any easier way of getting  ID ECU out or need to take whole dash off?

No - dash out only. It sits behind the HVAC unit in the centre.

Try this. That's only for B2289,but if you need more i can get screenshots for the rest of fault codes.
