Can it fit?

Recommended Posts

I am new to fitment and don't know much so I need help. Can these R18 5x112 wheels 7.5j et35 fit my is200? Can it fit with wobble nuts or do I need spacers?

Hi Adomas and welcome to the LOC.

Personally I wouldn’t fit them and they probably wouldn’t even align with the studs being 2.4mm out.

”Wobble nuts” and wheels aren’t a good proposition.

You could get hub adaptors but again I wouldn’t simply on safety grounds, I like to know my wheels are secure and the correct type of nuts are torqued to 76 lb/ft

My IS has coils, what size wheels would you recommend? And how does the center hub work, does the wheel have to be exactly 60.1 (IS size c.h.) or it can be larger/smaller?

The centre bore can be larger than 60.1mm, but not smaller.

Most aftermarket wheels have a bore size of 73.1mm. In this case, you can fit a set of hubcentric spigot rings to reduce the bore size down to the required 60.1mm.

Also be aware you'll probably need new wheel nuts too, as the standard (flat seat) Lexus nuts are no good with aftermarket wheels.

As for sizes, 8" wide with an ET around +40 is a pretty nice and safe fitment. I personally had this setup on my IS200 thanks to IS250 wheels and 5mm spacers, and was pleased with how it looked.
