Remote starting my NX300h

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchsed a 21 plate NX300h having downgraded from an RX450h as it was too big for my needs nowadays. My question is if I can remote start the car in order to activate the heater and defrost the windscreenetc prior to me getting into the car. This was a featute on my former jaguars and was wondering if a similar type of feature is available on Lexus.

Thanks in anticipation

As far as I am aware the answer is no. It does on my gen 2 NX350h but did not do it on my previous NX300.

Unfortunately the GEN-1 NX does not have that feature.
However, I got round it in a very simple fashion.
I took under my employ a small Victorian urchin. I send him out barefoot in the snow to warm the car for me. Once the car is toasty warm he gives me a cheery (or is it tearful) cry of "it's all ready for ya Guv'nor". I feed him sparingly as to minimise running costs. The added value is he doubles up as a damn fine chimney sweep, and fetches me a fresh loaf of Hovis bread from the bakery each morning across the cobbled streets of my northern town on his trusty, rusty bicycle.

Can you buy one at Aldi?

I am afraid not dear boy.
But Harrods and Selfridges are having a price war over them. Buy two, get a scullery maid free was the best offer I have seen so far.

That's the deal I went for. The urchins sub for each other when one falls ill with cholera or whatever and the maid cleans up after them and cooks their meager meals.
All works out wonderfully for ME!
I don't have to see them, hear them (except for the ready call, of course) and they are self sufficient, as the scullery girl has such delicate light fingers, she can half inch a whole roast chicken off a rotisserie in broad daylight without anyone seeing a thing.
