Gearstick And Gaiter Removal

Recommended Posts

unscrew the gearknob - standard RH thread it might be very tight, on the chrome surround there are 3 LITTLE clips 1 at the back and 2 on each side, these break easily so dont be surprised if one or 2 break, mine are broken and there is no difference in its position.

remove ashtray things

prise the back end up of the chrome bit and gaiter, then just keep lifting and the 2 or 3 proper clips at the front will come free, loosen gaiter from the gearstick, disconnect wires etc and all is done.
