Wiring Harness Expensive?

Recommended Posts

Can it not be repaired?

Might be worth trying a scrapyard (tell them you want the harness IN ONE PIECE!)

You'll get one off any RHD LS400 made between August 92 and October 94. Not the LHD ones though (according to the EPC anyway), they have a different part number. Not off any other Lexus or Toyota, either - not even a Celsior. Gotta be an LS400.

If you're desperate you can get 84306-50040 from any RHD LS400 made between December 89 and August 92, this was superseded by (and AFAIK can be replaced with) the 50090.

LMFAO! (Sword6919, three of these words are Laugh, My and Off - you can suss the rest I'm sure)

US dealers may not have access to the General, Europe or Japan EPC CDs. Also, Toyota dealers won't have full access to the Lexus parts of the CD - they need a password.

Your info was gleaned by going into the EPC and searching the Europe and General discs in turn, looking for the part number you quoted. Once found, the part is shown, along with all the cars it fits (only the LS400 RHD). I then searched for "Spiral" on the Japanese discs to see what the equivalent is on the Toyota Celsior (different part number) and also the USA discs to find the equivalent on the US LHD cars (also different part number).

All of my EPC discs came from P2P file sharing. My current collection is:-

European A1 June 22, 1999

European A2 March 23, 1999

USA A1 July 29, 2003

USA A2 March 27, 2003

General A1 December 19, 2003

General A2 December 19, 2003

General B1 December 19, 2003

General B2 December 19, 2003

Japan A2 December 15, 1995

Oversea F1 December 16, 2003

Oversea F2 December 16, 2003

All running under EPC V1.00 for Windows 98, which runs quite happily under Windows 2000 (if anyone has V3.02 I have a Lexus crack for it).

Still downloading others as I write (including Japan A1 so I can get the Aristo parts catalogue) - trouble is, most of the discs out there are older than their filenames claim!
