Hello everybody (I seem to be busy making threads this morning :D)

Just curious, has anyone run their Aristo with the Turbo's running in parallel as opposed to sequential? I know there will be a greater lag, but after a full system exhaust I think the lag would be "lessened". Has anyone done such a thing yet? If so does it get rid of the power loss around "3500rpm" ?

Thanks,

Mitul.

I think the lag would be too great. The stock sequential system works very well.

You shouldn't have power loss at 3500. You certainly never did on US/UK spec Supra TTs. JDM Supras are much smoother with power delivery when the second turbo comes online but shouldn't have loss.

Power graph of the engine doesn't show any loss

Mitul, I get not lag what so ever. Get full boost from 3K up to 4.5K, thats with the first Turbo spining on startup and the second spining at 3K. Mine has been remapped though so this may be a slightly different setup to the norm based on the times from other MK I TT's, it was like this when I brought her.

If anything, TTC reduces response, as the car is running near enough no positive boost until well past 3k rpm, and due to the TT engine having a lower compression ratio than the NA engine, it feels very sluggish and lethargic. I hate TTC mode on my Supra - droning exhaust note, terrible response and you lose all the low-end responsiveness that the first turbo supplies. The mod takes about 15mins to do, so you can easily swap it back if you don't like it.
