94 Ls400 Heating Problems

Recommended Posts

when you turn the dial to hot air can you hear the vent motor? Not very loud but have a listen for it.. this opens and closes the ventilation system.. if you cannot hear anything then have it checked to see if the motor is not working.

Just a suggestion.

I had a problem with no heat. Thermostat, fan etc worked. Per the dealer, the heater cable broke. Cost is $400 to fix! Reason is that they have to remove the dash etc!!! This has to be the most expensive cable repair!!

Problem is I can't get manuals that explain how to remove which part of the dash, how to get at the cable to swap it out.

Maybe that's how they can charge exhorbitant prices!

If anybody can tell me how to replace the cable, I would appreciate it very much. I got the repair CD from eBay but that didn't help.

Chilton doesn't have it for '94.
