could anybody explain what the benefits are of fitting a strut brace to the car??

does it improve the performance at all, and if so how and by how much??

are the strut braces the same as chasis braces, or are these 2 seperate things?

cheers,

rob :D :) :D

The purpose of a strut brace is to brace the tops of the shock towers together, reducing any movement they may have. The strut brace straps the top of the shocks together, where chassis braces strap the bottom together, underneath the car - so yes, they are different.

They do improve handling a little, i've never had one myself so I can't tell you first hand, but I don't think they will make a whole lot of difference, it will only really make a difference under hard cornering, other than that its just a bit more under bonnet 'bling'.
