Can anybody confirm what immobiliser is installed on the is200 as standard as my new quote recieved from Adrian Flux insurance are requesting details about my immobiliser.

After a quick search i gather it is a Cat 1 system, is that correct.

They have quoted me on having a Thatcham Category 2 Immobiliser fitted.

I am completely lost on all this Cat 1 stuff, if anybody could put some light on to this, it would be appreciated.

Yes there is a cat 1 alarm and cat 2 immobiliser installed. Not sure why insurance companies have to ask this - they know it is factory fitted and they access to all the details!

All UK IS200/300 have a Toyota Talm 001 Cat 1 device and a Toyota EIS 2 Cat 2 device.
