Time for the expensive is 200 service, so i am told. What do Lexus actually do at 60k and is there anything that i can do to make it cheaper. I aint gonna bother buyin my own oil cos I know it'll end up in some grease monkey's Corsa :whistling:

How much oil does is take by the way??

I am going gold to save money, incase anyone wondered.

Spark plugs are the main expensive cost on the 60k service. My advice would be to buy the iridium IK20 plugs off eBay (preferably from the US like I did).

Tell the dealer your supplying your own plugs - you should be able to pick them up for about £35 instead of the £90 the dealer will quote you!

As well it's a good idea to replace the airfilter yourself - try the K&N for about £40 it's dead easy to fit and as well change the aircon from puravent.

Tell your dealer your doing the above and you should save circa £150 off your service cost.

BTW, my 60k service with supplying the above cost me £280, which works out as a basic service plus 2 hours labour to fit the plugs.

Oh, and don't be a tight wad - join Gold mate! You'll save yourself an extra 10% off the cost of the parts in your service! :winky:

Good luck!
