I am looking for the part number of the Seal kit and replacement pistons for the offside front (Front Right) brake calliper

Anyone with the EPC able to find it please?

It is for a 2000 IS200 sport

I was told the pistons come individually but the seal kit is a set of 4.

Many thanks in advance

Dan

i can't help you with part numbers i'm afraid dan but i am intrigued as to what problems you're curently experiencing. i have a 2000 is200 sport and it failed the mot cos of a siezed o/s/f caliper. i was quoted for a complete caliper, i didnt know you could get replacement pistons separately.

I currently have a siezed NSF caliper - I also didn't know you could get the pistons etc seperately and am getting the whole caliper changed tomorrow.

There seem to have been a lot of caliper problems on here in the last couple of weeks!

are lexus doing that for you mate? Lexus Leicester quoted me £368 to supply and fit the o/s/f caliper for me, how much have you been quoted?

i got a set of calipers off pete jenkin and fitted it myself and it's failed the mot again today, the o/s/f wheel is binding, gonna have another look at it later...

You can usually get pistons and seal kits. The thing is the length of time it takes to strip down clean and reassemble, by the time you take in labour at garage prices it works out cheaper to buy and fit a new one.

I will do all the work myself

I called Lexus parts and asked for the price of a new cailliper - after picking myself up off the floor (£360) i asked what servicable parts are available - nice parts man told me that you can get a seal kit and pistons

I have a matey in the trade and he got me a recon cailliper for £68 + vat but the seals look a bit weird. There is some weird coil of wire sticking out - i guess this is something to do with how they recon the bore.

So i have not used that and will get a refund on it depeding on what i find is wrong with mine.

What i plan to do is strip the one i have and see if all i need is seals and pistons (i.e. is the bore rusted)

Only one piston is sticking - i am crossing my fingers and hoping it is just the seal is knackered

No, isn't Lexus that's doing it. I have a mechanic mate who's sorting it out so I don't have a quote. I think he said the caliper was about £90, can't really remember but will let you know tomorrow when I get the bill!

Someone at work just had a new NSF caliper fitted to their IS200 last week - cost him about £225 for the caliper (not inc. fitting) but that wasn't a Toyota one. I don't know what it was they fitted!

Had the caliper changed yesterday and all the wheels rebalanced too. Cost me £114 altogether from my mate. Apparently he got hold of a reconditioned Lexus IS200 caliper (that apparently is exactly the same part as the Toyota RAV4).

Doesn't seem to have caused any damage to the brake disc either which is a relief because it was only two months old.
