Sat Nav Screen

Recommended Posts

I have a IS200 T reg with Sat Nav, but the screen keeps flickering on and off and sometimes only comes in a purply colour. If i give it a whack the colour sometimes comes back. Othrtimes the pic disapears altogether, but the voice still works.

Is this a problem with the screen or the cable?

How can it be remedied?

Also, does anyone know if i can play normal DVD's through the sat nav system?

Thanks

i have a 99 IS aswel and my sat nav does the same, its something to do with the ribbon cable, it could be dirty or could have a tear in it.

Lexus sheffield wont touch it and say the whole system would have to be replaced costing a couple of grand. im not sure if you could fix it yourself, ive just resorted to giving it a good thump when its playing up :hehe:

There was one for sale on these forums not so long ago. Ellz I think was selling it.

Thanks people, i will have a look for Ellz in the forum.

The thumping option is ok, but very embarrasing when your taking a lady out and trying to impress
