New Gs Owner With Noob Style Question

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Just got hold of a GS450h SE-L. What a great car... it's a spaceship on wheels.

Anyway, quick question. How can you *disable* the switch that tells the stereo/navi that you are moving? My wife (who's the main driver of the car) can't seem to enter navi routes while moving, and (more importantly to me) I can't watch DVD's or Video CDs when we're on the road either.

On other aftermarket systems it's a question of disabling (or making a permanent connection) on the handbrake signal. Is it, as I imagine, a bit more complicated on the Mark Levein system?

And once again - hello!

Stephen

Hi Rizlam and welcome to the club,

This has been coverd many times before and the simple answer is - YOU CAN'T (Not without taking out the head unit and doing some rewiring, and even then it's met with differing success depending on what side of the water you live)

It's never ben an issue for me as I think it's sensibe that you can't enter addresses whilst on the move, the same as I don't believe people should be jabbering on their toy phones while driving either.

If you nip over to the US forums you will find this topic extensively covered.

Cheers

The Ed
