Sat Nav Cd Problem

Hi guys i just bought a lexus is 200 in england and brought it back to ireland its a 2001

the sat nav wont work here when i went to a lexus dealer they told me they dont make cd based sat nav dics anymore and ill hav to upgrade to a dvd based one at a cost of nearly 4000 eueo

Is it possible to buy european sat nav dics with irish roads 06 cd based in england or does any1 out there that can help me PLEASE .......

Not sure about Ireland... but I believe for the CD based sat nav systems, you used to be able to get (for example) the France CD, which you'd swap for the UK/GB CD currently in the drive...

Try asking another dealer...

There is bout 10 lexus dealers in ireland i gottem off the internet rang them all they are all very unhelpful they keep telling me to change my sat nav over to a dvd based 1 No chance mines only a 01 its not worth it

i love my lexus why is it so awkwa*rd to sort out sat nav

no chance of finding a cd, there might be a few floating around eBay but from my researching, european ones does not cover ireland. i dont think i know anyone that actually has a working satnav over here. a new disk supposedly costs about 300 euro. Just buy yourself a Tom Tom for that money!
