Oxygen Sensor Stuck

Has anyone got any ideas how i can remove the oxygen sensor which the thread has corroded in the exhaust?

Soak it with plenty of WD40 and leave as long as you can. Buy a proper O2 sensor socket. It has a slot down the side that the cable hangs out while you use it.

I had a similar problem and when I finally got it out it looked like the ends of the threads has melted so it knackered the sensor boss as well. Came out like this

That for a sensor or a socket?

I soaked mine in WD-40 the night before, so it had a good 18 hours to do its stuff.

See if you can borrow the tool (I did) or if you have to buy one, it shouldnt cost more than a tenner
