Goodyear Gsd3 Wear

Just recently my tyres have started making a funny noise, a bit like driving a landrover with offroad/military tyres on the road. Today I have noticed a funny wear pattern on the inside and outer edges of the front tyres.

I am running at 33 psi all around, are my tyres failing? Help

The ungelating pattern of wear (heel and toe) still has no proven criminal cause. wim was heavily involved in an arbitrator fashion in the States regarding this very issue. We can suggest no particular tyre is prone to this problem and it is wise to realise the directional tyre now has a wider audience so assumption could become easy but not necessarily true.

All tyres have pinch (on) push (off) compression/ release that could favor heel and toe wear on the directional tyre since the pattern is symmetrically lateral although the wear tends to be active on the compressed cambered side of the tyre. Also it was noted that the majority of cars suffering from this wear pattern was the rear tyres on the fwd.

It was subliminally concluded by the above cars manufacturer that the reason for the tyre pattern of wear was a disproportionate damper reaction to the coil. Although wim was not privy to the technical information regarding any changes made to the design the problem stopped!
