Front Brake Caliper Carrier

Just fitted new Mintex discs and pads on the front of the Tezza.

The "frame" that holds the caliper has 2 bolts that were a pig to "break", the ends of the bolts were a bit rusty, as you would expect. Like the title says anyone know what they should be torqued back up to?

TIA

Had the same Q for a few of my current & previous cars........Tight As Fook seemed to be the most common response :duh:

Yup I went for "eyeballs bulging and veins in the neck exploding" tight

I have: Front 118nm and rear 104nm.

Tony, Did you work that from the thread size? Just wondering if it's the same for the 250  'cos I'll need to know by the week-end :whistling:

Thank you Dr Bones, I will now be giving them a check up ASAP. 115nm with a 300mm bar is a lot of sweat :D

What with a big boy like you.......Naaaaah

From a Woman I would take that as a compliment

Thinking about it, and getting the calculator out, maybe I over did it a shade :D

Probably best! In a perfect world the bolts are meant to be replaced with new ones! I think most would agree educated cutting of corners is realistic.
