Remote Unlocking - Needs Multiple Presses

 Share

Recommended Posts

Is this expected behaviour or a problem?

When unlocking my car with the remote, if the car has been left for a while (e.g. overnight) it takes up to 5 presses on the unlock button before the car unlocks. The first presses give only a brief flash of the light on the key fob - the unlocking flash is longer.

If the car has been left for say an hour or two (sometime a little longer) it unlocks on the first attempt.

N.B. 2001 model.
