Tyre Damage

My car's been handling a bit funny recently so I thought I'd book it in for a geo with Tony, before which I thought I'd check the wear on the tyres first (and yes, they were wearing on the insides again!)

Anyway, when I was doing this, I came across some damage to the front left tyre, as below:

There's that cut, and there's also a slight bulge in the sidewall a bit further round the tyre from that - I know it hasn't been kerbed, so from the alloy damage I'd assume its from a pothole

Basically car won't be used now anyway until Saturday when I'm taking it to Tony, but to do so I'll be getting the car on the motorway, and just wanted to check that I'll be able to run this at speed without risk of a blowout.

@Tony: This is what I was trying to explain quite badly yesterday!

Bloody potholes

Because the damage is in the side wall if it was me I personally would'nt risk it especially if theres a bulge you might be alright but can you not put the spare on untill you get to tony's

Looks cosmetic to me.... You are perfectly safe in my opinion.

Thanks, I'll just leave it till I get the car to you then :)

But I'll take it easy on the way there just to be on the safe side :driving:
