Hi Fi Lcd Display Problem

Recommended Posts

I have an intermittent fault on a Mk2 GS300. The display seems to lose part of the LCD elements making up the numbers/letters for the radio & CD. Sometime they are there and sometimes they are gone or very feint.

 I've also got they same thing on my 99 GS300SE.

Is there anywhere in the UK that can fix the screen ?

Found this site for the US drivers.

Unfortunately the problem is most likely to be within the LCD unit. Lexus Carlisle sent my HiFI away to a company in Bradfor to replace the LCD unit. I do not know the company name, but a call to Carlisle Lexus would probably get you the name & phone number. Taking the Hifi out of the console is not too difficult. But I would not want to take the unit apart.
