Aircon Removal

Looking for a bit of help. My aircon pulley rattles mad and was told the magnetic clutch is prob in trouble. As I dont use the aircon at all I was thinking of removing the whole thing.

What I need to know is when I screw off the H plug on the pipe to let out the gas can I just start taking the pipes off and where the pipes enter the bulkhead do I need to block these off or just deave them as they are after I pull the pipes out.

Will I need to move the power steering cooler thing in front of the aircon rad to get it out.

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help

Yes you will have to move the PWR steering cooler, its only 2 bolts (iirc)

Be careful when you remove the air con pipes, the gas will come out quite violently, when its de-gasing get away from the car, or work in a open space, DON'T breath the gas in or your a55 will be knocked OUT!

Also, removing the AC pump completley means you need a smaller drive belt for your pwr steering and water pump pulleys ;)

Thanks am. Its outside so no problem with the gas. Was told it was bad for you alright. I have measured what size belt I need so must just source that. When I remove the pipes from the bulkhead can I just leave to holes as they are or do i need to cover them up

Thanks
