Gs300 Electric Window Problem

Recommended Posts

I have a mk1 GS 300 - one of the electric window mechanisms has seized up and I need to get the door panel off to find out what the problem is (the window is currently stuck a third of the way open). I can't quite get the panel off and I really don't want to mangle any of the trim trying. I can see the top part of the panel needs to come off as the top of the main part sits underneath it. I'm guessing it should just pull off, but I don't want to potentially bugger the lot by doing that.

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to remove the panel without breaking anything?

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Toby

Hi,

From memory i think theres some screws under the bottom of the door panel and some more buy the handle, have a good look around the panel.

Once all the screws are out you have to lift the panel up because its slotted on the top so it hangs to the metal of the door.

Hope thats of some help.

I've not had a rear door panel off on mine, but the front door panel was as Chip said.
