What Is This? Look The Pic Portuguese Lexus

Hello!

I was exploring the new features of my car and i saw this pic in the back i think it is the amplifier, but i´m not sure! confirm this for me!

Another this i have a friend that is a mecanic here in Portugal, and he is a specialist on engines, and we where looking the car under and we saw this part insid the wheel without in our opinion of protective paint ( the black paint moistered with rubber) o don´t know if you know what i mean. We saw that in the wheel and under the car where the supports of an elevator atatch to elevate the car!

Could it be normal to have the brown paint, and this brown paint is protective too!

They don't use the old heavy rubberised underseal anymore because:

1. It was heavy.

2. When it cracked it allowed water to get under it and hasten corrosion.

They use a waxy, self-healing type of sealant now - as shown in your picture.
