Evening all.

I've just been down to check the tyres, fluids etc and noticed that the oil level is slightly high, just above maximum. Also the engine sounds a bit tappety when it settles down to an idle. It is only ever used for short trips and isn't due a service for another 4,000 miles or 4 months. Shall I get the oil changed now or leave it till it's service to quiten the tappety noise? Also, can my locall garage change the oil using a Lexus oil filter and me supplying my own fully synthetic oil without the warrenty being affected?

If it was me I would change it, changing oil and filter should be no

problem for a local garage.

I would watch that they actually use your oil though!
