Just before i get one of these just had a quick question:

Is there any difference or purpose to the radiator cap having a pressure of 1.3 bar?? to 1.1??

I presume its fine to just switch for the standard one without any problems??

cheers

Just means your system will have to cope with more pressure before it releases the pressure,

But i'me sure the system will cope, i've had mine on for over a year with no problems at all.

might sound dumb but how is the pressure typically released mate??

surely the increased pressure will raise the boiling point of the coolant?? does that in turn then lower the running temp of the car?? surely that may actually help performance??

As far as I know, it just means your car could run hotter before the coolant starts to boil. Shouldn't make an difference during normal use but may help if stuck in traffic in hot weather and the temp goes up. I guess it is designed for race environments where the engines will typically run hotter.
