Dent

Recommended Posts

finally had that dent removed, but crack in paintwork still visible, dent man said to fill it with wax regularly to prevent corrosion

pictures of it are below

Split 1

Split 2

its actually more visible than it shows up in these pictures

is there anything that can be done to make it better (chip removal experts, can they do anything?)

and is it likely to corrode? :(

I got a small dent expertly removed from the front bonnet on mine (some sod in a 4 wheel drive must have backed into my IS when it was parked) but there were still very fine scratches left. The local Chips Away guy said he couldn't really do a good job and only solution is a respray of the bonnet. In meantime he told me to touch in the scratches by dipping some kitchen roll in paint and gently applying - which I've done, but its not great. I'll eventually go for the respray but (barring the miracle of Lexus UK eventually owning up to the paint problem and offering us resprays) I am leaving it to build up a few more of the inevitable chips on the bonnet first :P :P
