Gs300 Sport Front Tyres

I have a 1999 gs300 sport with the 18" alloys with wider rears. Does anyone know the tyre sizes for the fronts? The fronts on there now are 235/40/R18 but the tyre wall is cracking. Just wondering if they're the right size. Cheers lads, any help is much appreciated.

I have the GS listed with 245/40-18..... Are your on OEM wheels?

Not sure on a '99.

Series 1 Sport is 245/40/18 front 275/35/18 rear.

Yeah, they are the standard sport alloys. So thats 245/40/18 all round?? I thought there was somethin off alright.

You said you had "the wider rears" in which case the rear tyres will surely be wider than the fronts?

I assumed i had wider rears, like i do on my 328i sport, but with the state of the tyres on the front i dont know if the smaller tyre is the correct size. just want to get the right size so i can order new ones. Anyone know 100%??

Googling for spec sheets seems to confirm 245/40 r18 as the Sport tyre.

On my old 99 GS300 Sport, the correct tyres were indeed 245/40 R18.
