So after the tree fell on my car and I got it back from the repairs, some moron used a screwdriver to nick my boot badge.

All I have now is a scratch.

I've looked for a replacement and there are two sizes on eBay.

121mm x 90mm or 95mm x 70mm

Has anyone got the measurements from their 1998 LS400 boot badge please?

I bought my 2000 MkIV LS400 straight from Lexus. They offered me a gold plated badge front and rear, but I thought it would look cheesy, plus, given the Beastie Boys VW badge problem, I didn't want a damaged car.

The badge on the boot (an oval with an "L") is 95mm x 70mm.

Assuming there were no changes from '98 this should be the one. Plus the other one's MASSIVE!

mine HAD gold badges - someone's ripped off all the rear badges (and just left me with the scares) but left the front one because it wasnt as nice looking.

Needless to say the front grille / badge are now satin black and look a damn site better for it!

The chrome badges on the back will be going satin black when I can work out how to get them off without scarring the car further.

Satin black sounds cool.

My LS is dark green so not sure they'ed even be seen.

I guess that's the point.

Hi

Easy way to get off the badges that are stuck on with that megga stong tape stuff is to use Dental floss, get a long length and then use a sawing action behind the badge, this cuts through the tape and causes no damage, to get off the sticky mess left, use petrol if you haven't any sticky stuff remover..... don't smoke though!!!!!
