should be straight forward enough. but any i should watch out for, like weak bolts prone to shearing. had to grind off exhaust bolt to fit cat back system as it was corroded beyond use.

No, just make sure you mark up the sterring arm before yoy split it and have the wheels/steerin wheel straight when you put it back together.

YOu got new gaskets for both ends?

does the arm need removed? whats involved in that just unscrew locking nutts? i thought it might have came up through the engine bay?

stav means the splined shaft on the steering column.........or i think he does

I guess I'll have to take a better look under the hood then, I was quite sure to have seen a clean area around and below the manifold on my car (no steering shaft, that's what I mean) but I may be way wrong.

I have noticed on the first link posted by Carles (head removal) on step 16 it does mention: RHD: REMOVE STEERING SLINDING YOKE.

So I guess it is not necessary to remove anything (aside the old manifold) from a LHD car.

hey again. just seen the steering joint and it is very easy to remove, 2 12mm bolts, take them right out as it makes it easier to remove, just mark about 2 inches above and a small mark below to aid refitting in same position. manifold still tight to remove through the space but it will come, make sure the 2 sensors are unscrewed. 22mm spanner
