Electric Aerial

Recommended Posts

In my Gs 300 1994 previous owner removed original system have re-wired speakers BUT cannot identify power wires for electric aeriel. which itself seems complicated I would say aeriel is original, if anyone has overcome this problem would be very pleased to hear solution.

Don't know about on a GS .... but on my non Lexus I have an aftermarket electric aerial. There are 3 wires plus the aerial coming from the aerial. One is earth, one is power ( should be fused ) and the other is a power supply from the aerial which triggeres when the radio is switched on ( or ignition is switched on and radio is already on ).

Hope this helps.

Hi Hill2003

Had the same problem on mine, I never had an electric aerial, my aerial was part of the heated rear window but was not able to track down the wiring for it, it seem to be part of the coxial itself, instead wiring the aerial to pre-amp feed in the boot to send the switched signal, works a treat.
