Gen 1 Toolkit Wanted

Hi all.

Great club here and have found a lot of the posts very informative.

I was wondering whether anyone has a Gen 1 toolkit going spare that they no longer need.

Thought that I would give here a shot first before the wreckers and eBay.

These are like hens teeth, seen a few come up on eBay and one in as new condition will fetch over £100 on a good day....

Try the breakers but they tend to know this as well....

That is madness! I think I will keep a much larger (and infinitely cheaper!) set in the car - which is what I do normally since most toolkits are next to useless anyways

Original equiptment toolkits have always sold for silly money...

Some people just like to keep their cars totally original.

I had a Pajero years ago and it got written off, the original toolkit was mint and even had the Japanese emergency flare still in it, it sold for £120 on eBay... I couldn't believe it... I thought it would never stop.... the guy who won it was over the moon , he had been after one for ages.

When I bought it, it didn't have a manual, I googled pajero and the first entry was the owners club, click on that and the first entry was about replacement manuals for £25 including postage.... I ebayed mine hoping for a tenner to get some money back.... It went for £32 + postage!!!!!!

eBay can be a strange place at times....

Pete who was the guy we met from NZ at Doncaster he was going to scrap his series 1 and if you remember he gave me the plastic Battery cover of it.
