Obd Information Needed!

Hey guys,

got my self a obd 2 reader off eBay and downloaded scantool but I cant get any readings it just keeps saying no hardware interface?The power light is on the reader itself but nothing else is happening on screen?

I'm using scantool should I use something else?

any help would be much appreicated.

Have you installed the drivers for the cable?? Yeah as its saying no hardware interface it will most likely be a problem with the cable. If the drivers are installed then make sure your not using the cable in a USB hub and try a different port on the pc.

I'd go for Drivers as well.

Drivers. Ensure it is set up on the correct COMM port. Think i may have had this problem. Can't remember how i solved it, just messed with the settings.

hey guys yeh I have installed all drivers and its on the correct com port but trys to connect then says no hardware interface?

I have tried with engine running, just ignition on but still no luck???
