Hid Bulb

The nearside dipped headlamp has stopped working on the IS300. The drivers side is OK.

Lexus are quoting £204 for a replacement HID bulb!

I managed to get the protective cover off the back of the unit and disconnect the power feed.How do I get the old bulb out and are there any checks I can do.

I've managed to source a cheaper bulb for about £65 but they need to know whether the bulb is a D2S or D2R.

Can anyone help?
