Knocking Sound From The Throttle Body

I had the engine running at idle and the hood open when i noticed a knocking sound.

It came from the throttle body and there was some movement of the round part that has the spring

everytime the sound came on.

Car seems to run ok through... but i never noticed that before.

Can someone confirm if this is normal or not?

Mines done ever since i've had the car matey, not sure why though, but doesnt seem to cause any problems :)

It's a relief knowing its normal. I bet if it was a malfuction it wouldn't be a cheap one!...

Not sure if its normal matey, maybe someone else can say if theres does it? mines always done it aswell as rattle and never had any problems with it in the 3 years i've had it, :)

IIRC this clicking noise is the electronic throttle control, which will be the bit you can see moving on its own, keeping the idle smooth by regulating the throttle. So is completely normal.

dont be too happy mate..

mine had when driving with cruise c.

and after 2 years check engine and track off lights came on and power down.... and engine shaking like this noise... and i still can hear it while engine runing...

as said its normal, its the ETC motor
