Second Hand Engine Or Scrap For Spares?

I need some unbias advice as to whether or not to get a second hand engine for my GS300 Auto? the one i've been looking at has 49'000 miles on the clock or do i just cut my losses and scrap the car for spares and make some money back that way? Is a second hand engine with service history, pressure and water tested and three months warranty too much of a risk?? I don't want to lose the car cos i love it but should i get real and wake up and get rid??

Guess it all depends on price ... If it's a good price then I'd go for the replacement, at least that way you get to keep the car :)

depends on which GS it is. If its a mk1 jzs147 then you are better off scrapping it unless you really want the car. The mk2 jzs161 might make it more economically viable to do an engine swap.

Good source of n/a 2jzs is the supra owners club ;) and would imagine off eBay its 3-500 for a ge lump shame as i scrapped a gs with a good engine not long back

Thanks for that advice and it is the Mk1 so it's see ya later then i reckon, shame cos the rest of the car is lovely and it was fantastic to drive!!
