Has anyone tried any of those training programs that allow training along side work, like the IT ones or Skillscentre etc?

I would like to learn a valuable trade and make something of my life, but not sure of the best route to take, and i'm not even 100% sure what career i'd like, also I wouldn't want to spend my savings on learning a trade only to find no work, somethin I hear happens when people train in IT, other programs I have seen state there is a shortfall in electricians, what i'm looking for really is reliable info, not just stats companies use to try and sell their training.

any advice and opinions is greatly received, although often I find myself more confused than before lol
