To Gauge Or Not To Gauge!

Hey guys, just a quick question or 2. I`m seriously thinking of supercharging my is200 but am not sure who to go with to buy and get it fitted. I`ve seen some mixed talk about where to buy. I was looking at torque developments as a possible buy. I live in Ireland so if there are any guys out there from Ireland who have bought and fitted, let me know. Cheers. Also I was thinking of getting the defi vsd-x Headsup display unit to manage my different reeadouts or should I just stick with the standard gauges? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys..

hi there mate,

you will find second hand supercharges on here time to time. they is one on the germal LOC sit for 700 euro which is very cheap and fitting is not hard mate just read the insutructions. i have just fitted a defi boost gauge and it works brilliant and looks nice.

Welcome mate,

you'll find if you tried to buy from TDi they wont actually have any!

unfortuantly all the new ones are sold, so you'll need to buy a secondhand one, more likely being sold on here at some point.

As for gauges, Boost gauge is always useful, and oil temp cant hurt either.

Hi mate, I tried TDi in March to get a TTE SC kit. They told me then that they might got me one for 5000pounds. I found the price too much, so I changed my mind . STav might be right. I think they are not any new ones left in the UK market.

Jesus thats alot of bills for a `charger. cheers for the info much appreciated :winky: Just weighting up my options,c what happens. In 2 minds as what to do. What would you expect to pay for a second hand `charger anyway? I was also thinking of a turbo conversion but was told that the `charger was a better option. True? Keep you posted on my progress. :)
