Best Parts For Service

Recommended Posts

Hi- welcome to LOC.

Oil- Use a good quality brand of 5w-30 fully synthetic oil, I personally use Eneos 5w-30 fully synthetic oil normally, but I will be giving Gulf XTR 5w-30 fully synthetic oil a go when I do my next oil change. Bought this last week from Opie Oils (trader on this site).

Oil filter- Stick to the OEM Lexus/Toyota oil filter.

Air filter- Replace the standard air filter with a K&N one from ebay- I think they normally sell for £36?

Spark plugs- Standard sparks fitted from factory are Denso SK20R11 (these are long-life plugs which last upto 60k). Downside of the SK20R11's are that they are be expensive, so many people use the Denso IK20's instead- these are cheaper than the long-life ones and are high performance, but they need to be replaced every 30k. You can also use NGK plugs as well, but make sure you use irdium tipped plugs (Denso or NGK), not platinum plugs. Also do not use Bosch plugs either- they don't suit Lexus/Toyota engines.

Hope this helps.
