Tiptronic Gears On Is300

Hi Guys,

Here's an easy one for ya. All IS300's are auto's (except for imports) but are they all supplied with the tiptronic gear shift or was that an extra.

All UK IS300's are automatic with E-Shift buttons on the steering wheel as standard.

Thanks for that guys, I thought that they all came with the tiptronic gearshift but sometimes you see the 300 advertised with no mention of this feature. Maybe, like Ladies_Love_Lex says, few people use them and therefore don't think to mention it.

On a different subject, Ladies_Love_Lex I notice that your 300 didn't get what you were looking for on eBay. If you're still looking to sell then I'm certainly interested but 200 miles (Bury to Weston-Super-Mare) is too far to travel for me. Would you consider meeting up somewhere in between (maybe an Asda car park in Birmingham or something like that).

Yes I use the E shift all the time, great downshift reduces the need for heavy braking ,keeps the car way more balanced because less weight over front axle into bends,eliminates black front alloys and no need to kick down. Use the manual shift, enjoy driving quickly and achieve 380 - 400 miles from each fill up. Superb function !!

I'm the same although use both, if i'm cruising I'll leave it auto but when driving it properly you can't beat e-shift, as above it'll keep the car balanced through bends as you can keep a constant speed without the worry of it changing gear and you can pull out of the apex smoother, then when you wanna go the power is there instantly. Wouldn't have bought it without it :)

I'm the same as above. Its the best of both worlds i reckon. I do tend to have the pwr button turned on most of the time too.

pwr on all the time, and stick the car into "M" mode all the time instead of D...that way if ur in a pickle, no need to wait for kick down just change down a gear and boot it.
