Tein Lowering Springs

Hi all, im new to the forum and seeking some advice. I have had my lex for a yr now and looking for a new look. I want to lower her but dont want to go to the expense of coilovers. What do you think of the tein lowering springs as dont want to go for cheap crap either?? My main concern is making the ride stupidly hard, i presume you guys know the change after??

Reading some of the threads from the past you guys have put on the tte/eibach springs are most higly reccomended. You say these are bought from lexus, but i rang my local lexus dealership up and he has never heard of such a part to be bought for the is200. What do you guys think?? Have i just gone the wrong way about it?? If they are bought from the dealership do any of you guys have a part number??

Thanks Jonny

they are about £130 for the springs mate sure they drop the car approx 30-40mm cant go wrong if lexus use them as a optional extra matey.

ps toyota or lexus will be able to get the springs for you.

Just looking to find the best lowering springs for my IS200 without comprimising drivability and having to avoid speed humps drastically.

I assume these are the ones to go for as only a 35mm F and 23mm R drop?

I'd avoid the Teins, I heard they can sag.

The TTE springs are made by Eibach, trouble is Eibach discontinued them. The Eibachs will be the least harsh option, about 15% stiffer and only a little drop.

I can highly recommend H&R, had them on for nearly a year now and they are perfect, stiffer without being over the top and making the ride bouncy, a nice 35 mm drop too.

Sag really? Tein normally have an awesome reuputation in Jap tuning market but i will take on board your advice.

So these are the better alternatives

Check the prices on http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/

There are also 2 variants of the H&R springs

HR-29435-1 and HR-29435-3

Each are for different axle loads, I got the info from H&R direct and found my IS300 needed HR-29435-3 due to the higher axle load weight, not sure if the 200 is less weight and thats why there are 2 versions.

I'm afraid I no longer have the information but I can tell you on my cars door sticker it states 1-1055Kgs 2-1055Kgs, these are the front and rear axle loads, check the sticker on your door sill.

Also plenty of info in this thread on the spring rates so you can see how hard they will be.
