Sc430 Changing Parking / Side Light

My nearside parking light seems to have blown on my 2001 Sc430. Could anyone give me some advice on replacing this? The handbook does not even describe the procedure. Does the headlamp need to be removed to get access? I have removed the plastic cover but can not get close to the fitting. Any pointers gratefully received!

Best regards, Colin

Hi Colin.

I've found it easier to turn the front wheels inward of the side you want (Turn it left to do the right etc) and pop the wheel arch liner out. (there's one bolt to remove which will be obvious when you try). Just prise it towards the car and you can just get your hand in to remove the bulb holder.

To avoid this a lot replace it with a good qual LED.

Failing this just remove the headlight. (still quite fiddley)

Many thanks for the advice. I have now sorted the problem. Access was fine with the front wheels removed and the wheel arch liner undone at the front. Then simple to twist off and replace. Anyone with very small hands could possibly remove from inside the engine bay! Regards, Colin
