Water In Cabin In Rx300 03-09 Model

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I seem to be geting water in the cabin around the offside front seatbelt anchor - without any visible drips etc. Before I go pay a bodyshop to investigate, anyone seen this before and able to give advice on source? I've checked the door and boot seals seals, sunroof, cable connections and grommits all look perfect.

Surely if I interpret your header, the vehicle was new IE first put on the road) in March 2009 and therefore this is well within the warranty period and thus not a cost to you.

If so take it back to the supplying or nearest Lexus dealer.

Does he not mean the Series ii RX Duncan? i.e 2003-2009? Not seen this problem on our RX300, could it not have leaked water in when the door opened or possibly condensation?

Could it possibly be the case that some of the seatbelt got caught in the door and hung outside the car, getting wet? When it re-wound, water would creep down the belt to the base.

It certainly could be interpreted that way. I certainly have had no problems with ether my RX300 nor my current RX400. The latter has been through some deep water in Cumbria and did not leak at all.
