Amp And Sub Install Problem

Ive just been to get my amp and sub installed into my new motor, however,

there seems to be a problem with the earth connection.

I'm being told that when it is tested it is giving out a live current and when tested the test light is red were it should be green. Is that correct?

The bloke didn't want to test it incase it ruined something.

Anyone know if the amp is gone or can it be saved as its quite expensive, being a vibe monobox IV amp.

thanks all

1) its gounded to the chasis

2) nothing has been sanded

What I mean is that the earth connection on the amp is giving off a live current, and if connected to the chassis will make the chassis live!

as far as i know, everything is fine, even the remote.

I'd remove the amp from the car and test in with a spare car Battery or 12v transformer to see if it works out of the car! Then go from there.
