Impove The 0-60

Hi,

I came close to selling my IS200 sport as I am so fed up with the initial acceleration and being undertaken by cars like corsa's and zaphiras!

Can someone tell me the 0-60 benefit of a supercharger and any other improvements for better performance on the acceleration.

I do not have loads of cash in such a sh!te economy so I am looking at cheap ways of doing this, I know the supercharger is 3k but I would just like to know if its worth the money.

Supercharger changes 0 - 60 from 9.5 to 7.2

The supercharger is worth every penny in view.

Nitrous is cheaper short term but is not a longterm solution and is probably more expensive long term.

Does the Supercharger make the car more unreliable, will Lexus touch it after one has been installed and how much does it put the insurance up by?

After the supercharger has been put on is there anything else that can be done to speed it up even more?

Will I need to upgrade anything else at the same time like the suspension?

No - the car is not more unreliable - (as Mark from TDI has mentioned in the other thread). Insurance will of course go up, and by how much depends on wheer you live, age, NCB etc etc.

Yes - there is lots more you can do like an uprated manifold, uprated intercooler and pulley, new ECU, lightweight flywheel etc etc.

No - You don't HAVE to change anything else with the Supercharger.
