New Here - First Time Lexus Owner

Hi all,

I just thought I'd pop in and say hi...

I am on my first Lexus and love it. It's a 1998 Facelift LS 400.

I have come from a Vauxhall Omega 3.0 Elite and I was heavily involved in the Omega Forum.

I look forward to getting to know some of you better (and my car for that matter).

I am based in Reading, Berksire. Any locals about?

A mate of mine said "the build quality of the Lexus makes the Omega seem like a Lada". Maybe that's a bit unfair, but you get the idea :).

What suprised me was the fuel economy of the LS is less than 1 mpg less than the Omega (3 litre). A small price to pay for wafting along.

that is surprising-mind you i never had an elite but i know the v6 quite well and its a really good lump imho - could be early days yet,wait till you start with the right foot a bit and then see

Im in Maidenhead Berkshire. Ive just bought my first Lexus pick it up friday. Used to have an Omega as well and was on the Forum, not as much as you though by the sound of it
